Directions
Cut one cake slice box from cardstock using the Accu Cut Die cutting machine and die. Fold box up and use double stick tape on the tabs to hold together. DO NOT tape the opening closed or you will not be able to fill it with treats.
Trace and cut out pieces from cardstock according to the <a href=”http://035874f.netsolhost.com/ProjectSheets/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/accucutgraduatefavorbox.pdf”>patterns</a>. Use the 2” circle punch to punch out one circle on the beige cardstock for the face.
Stand the cake box with the opening on the bottom and the wide flat side facing forward.
Curl each sleeve piece into a cone and tape the edges together. Place a cone on each side for the sleeves and use the glue gun to glue in place. You can follow the sample for placement, with one arm raised and one facing down. Place a wood bead inside the edge of each cone and glue in place for the hands.
Take the ¼” ribbon and starting from the bottom of the box, lay down two 3” strips down the center of the front of the box. Tape in place.
Take the ¼” ribbon and form into the “V” neck on the front. Start from one top edge and lay the ribbon down at an angle, stopping at the top of the ribbon strips. Fold the ribbon up and go back up to the other corner. Adhere the ribbon with the double stick tape.
Place the front hair piece on the face and adhere with tape. Draw to dots with the Black Sharpie marker for the eyes. Let dry. Make two small dots with the white Galaxy marker for accents on the eyes.
Braid the embroidery floss and trim the ends to make the tassel. Use the 1/8” hole punch and make a hole in the center of the grad cap top. Attach the tassels to the top of the grad cap with the brad. Place the bottom of the grad cap on the hair and adhere with tape. Place the top of the grad on next and adhere with tape.
Place the head onto to the top of the box and adhere with pop dots. Place the Back of the hair piece behind the head, matching up the edges, and tape in place.
Roll the 2 ½” white paper and tie closed with the 1/8” ribbon for the diploma. Glue to one of the hands. In the other hand, glue the ribbon roses.
