To create a chalk board look, dab a stamping sponge or crumpled up paper towel with a little white ink. Lightly wipe across the black cardstock. Distress the edges of the black cardstock with more ink. The light coating of white ink makes the black cardstock look like a chalkboard that has been used and erased.

Add a design to the chalkboard by rubber stamping a design on top with the white ink. Or for a bolder look, heat emboss a design with white embossing powder. Wipe a little more white ink over the stamped designs to give it more chalked look.

You can also just write a message on the chalkboard by using a white pencil or a white marker like the AC Galaxy markers. Again, you may want to wipe a little white ink across for a more chalk-like look.

Layer the finished black cardstock onto the tan brown cardstock. Center and tape down. Position and tape down the layered piece onto the front of the blank pre-made card.
