Chain nose pliers
Round nose pliers
Memory wire cutter
Cut off 2 inches of chain.
Using a 6mm jump ring, attach a shell to one end of the chain.
Take 2 inches of wire and fold over one end about 2-3 mm.
Slip on a bead and using the tip of your chain nose pliers, hold the wire right next to the bead and make a 90 degree bend.
Using the round nose pliers, create a small loop at the bend and attach to the chain 5 links up from the shell. Wrap the rest of the wire down towards the bead gradually making each wrap larger in order to build a small bead cap on the top of the bead.
Trim off the excess wire.
Repeat this step but attach the bead 4 links between the last until you have 4 beads attached to the chain.
Using the memory wire cutter, cut off a loop of memory wire so that you have a 1 inch gap between the two ends.
We are going to use the round nose pliers to loop each end but we want the loops to face perpendicular to the curve of the memory wire and to have a little over lap similar to a split ring thus ensuring that the loops will not open.
Open a 6mm jump ring and slip on one end of the memory wire, the end of the beaded chain, the other end of the memory wire, an ear wire, and then close the jump ring.
Repeat all steps for the other earring.
