INSTRUCTIONS
Take the 5”L x 8”H cards base and score a horizontal center line. Fold in half and crease well to form the 4”H x 5”L card. Open card up. Cut the ribbon in half. On the inside of the card, tape 2” of ribbon down the center on both the top and bottom sides, leaving 5” tails over the edges to use for the tie closure (Fig. 1).
Making the pocket – Take the 5”H x 6”L cardstock and vertically score the side edges ½” in on each side. Next, measure 2 ½” up from the bottom edge and score a straight horizontal line across the cardstock, dividing it in half. On one half, trim off the ½” side edges that were scored, leaving the other half with tabs (Fig. 2).
Fold the piece up. Fold the side tabs to the back and tape to the back to form the pocket. Apply double stick tape around all four sides on the back of the pocket. Remove the protective covering from the tape and glue pocket to the bottom half of the inside of the card. Make sure that you align the pocket edges with the cards edges (Fig. 3).
Take the 4”L x 7”H cardstock and score a horizontal center line. Fold in half and crease well to form the 3 ½” H x 4”L slider insert (Fig. 4).
On the front of the slider card, apply double stick tape along all four edges, including along the fold (Fig. 5).
Remove the protective covering on the double stick tape and open up the slider card. Slide the bottom half of the slider card into the pocket. Carefully attach the top half of the slider card to the inside of the top half of the base card. Make sure that you center the slider card and align the card edges on the top (Fig. 6).
Attach gift card to slider card. Close card and tie ribbons into a bow.
